Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Airport

I reserved The king size bed with whirlpool tub for my 1 yr dating anniversary. I was very amused by the look of the place just soo open. The room however was a pretty big letdown. The jets in the tub never work and there was dirty towels left in the room. The bed was comfy though and Location with the atmosphere was the only thing saving this 3 star review

Terrible. I can’t believe this hotel carries the Hilton name. The only thing good about this property is its convenient location. It is old, rundown and in need of a full renovation. There is an indoor pool in the center of the building so the entire place seems damp and humid and smells like chlorine (not in a good way) the pool itself looks disgusting with its foggy water. My room was very dirty and run down. There were chips, dents in the walls and they were dirty with who-knows-what visibly smeared on them in multiple locations. In the bathroom, the sink didn’t drain properly. It smelled bad and there were small bugs coming from the drain. Disgusting. There was also a lot of mildew visible in the bathroom. The toilet had some kind of rig, external plumbing which made a lot of noise when flushed. The window coverings were torn and in bad shape. The furniture was very dirty as well. The desk chair had holes in the mesh seat. There also seems to be a lack of security. The first night there was a non-employee, random guy knocking on doors around 10pm I didn’t risk opening the door to see what he wanted. Super disappointed in this hotel. I expect consistency in quality from the Hilton brand. This is the second time I’ve experienced this issue. I’m very hesitant to continue booking with Hilton.

The hotel is very dark and very hot when u walk in, had to be 80° in the entire building and literally the lights look like a tv set for a sitcom very dark and dingy feel to the place, rustic outdoors hunting log feel. The rooms are very dark as well some lights don't work and the whole room was yellow from the light bulbs they use u coukdnt do any work in the rooms if wanted to or in the lobby unless the sun was shining due to the sun lights on the top of the building in the lobby, which is the only time u have actual lighting that u can see anything. Nothing was plugged in I had to plug every lamp in. Only one elevator has ever worked since I've been coming to the property. The bed sheets were to small and put on inside out so they didn't stay on at all including the mattress pad that had a strap to "hold" it in place. Second I sat on the bed the sheets rolled off completely. The phone the cord wasn't even attached to the phone at all i had to plug it in myself. The bartender said she would call me when my food order was ready if the phone in my room actually worked so I should just come back in 25 minutes. I do love the fact this hotel has a restaurant a nice tea sitting out flavored water had the green stems on the strawberriesstill so i woukdnt drink that at all but the tea sitting out is really good, the breakfast lady was really nice very helpful that was a definite plus! The hotel has tremendous potential but the ceiling was falling down, foundation cracks, only ice machine working was on the 2nd floor, the elevator made concering nosies. The room had tiles falling off in the bathroom no working light above the shower. Trying to eat dinner there was uncomfortable due to horrible lighting. And I got my order but my husband's order was never even put in waited 40 minutes to get his order but the size of the food order was amazing 👏 for that price! And $20 day of check in and $20 dollars day of check out for food is what keeps me coming back. But for a Hilton I am disappointed. But for a 1 night stay not bad but I wouldn't stay more than that.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The business office was a surprise! We were able to use it to print out our return boarding passes. We did not have to worry about nothing. I will say this, I wish all your front team was nice as Maria, The Sunday before we left we stayed in, and the lady at the desk did not smile and when asked a question, she was short and not friendly, needless to say we did not want to approach her again. so that is why I give 4 stars. Also if you arrive early as my sister did, they will not let you check-in until that check-in time. Not sure why that is or why she would have been charged extra if she did, She drove from IL to Texas, SA. I didn't think that was cool. It was 30 minutes til. 🤷 One more addition, which is not a total deal breaker for me. We had room 420, and the second shade was torn needs updating soon as well as the left hand shelving under the TV, unable to use that side.

Horrible!!! If I could rate a zero I would, from the start the front desk person was rude and had an attitude. No eye contact just kept looking down at her phone while I was talking to her. we got there and the first room had a horrible smell from the carpet. So, I immediately went to the front desk and asked for another room. The second room was even worse, carpet wasn’t clean then there was broken tiles along the tub my husband went to the front to notify them that it was dangerous and someone could cut themselves. The manager claim the hotel was fully booked, her attitude was worse then her staff. They said they reported the bathroom issue and someone would come and fix it. Guess what!! They never came during our stay. Third the rooms are cleaned every two days and you wonder why they smell and have small bugs everywhere. We got cleaning products and spray. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone ever!! Which the do allow pets. Very disappointed because we we’re just here in August and it was very different and cleaner. Truly sad customer service!!
